Private Road Options Matrix

 

At the August 17, 2026 Infrastructure Subcommittee meeting, a matrix of options for the public maintenance of private roads and storm drains will be discussed.  There are six options for road maintenance and five options for storm drains.

Only one of the options for each includes the City accepting full responsibility for its infrastructure, which 80% of Orindans already enjoy, and even those options require the residents of the private streets to pay to get the services their neighbors have enjoyed for decades, with no extraordinary fees.
